It is of human nature that we start believing in something very quickly. We start following the things that we see other people are doing, merely thinking about the details. That is the reason why dieting myths spread so quickly.

Dieting has become a timeworn method of gaining the right shape of the body. There are many things we are still not sure about. These doubtful facts are so popular that most of the experts follow them without going into details.

1. SAY NO TO CARBOHYDRATES

Mostly people think that if you want to lose weight than avoid eating carbohydrates at all. But this is not the complete scenario, as all carbs are not bad only the refined sugars are that causes obesity. Complex carbohydrates that are found in brown sugar, rice are good for health.

2. DRINK A LOT OF WATER

Researchers have found that drinking water doesn’t aid in losing weight. It is good to consume a lot of water as it helps in detoxification. Drinking water can also in a way make you eat less, but it does not itself aid in weight loss.
A study conducted by the researchers of the University of Carolina states that people who drink a lot of water eat 200 calories less than those who don’t.

3. SOME FOOD HELP YOU LOSE WEIGHT

Not a single food can help you lose weight. Certain foods that can increase the metabolism but they cannot directly burn the calories.

4. CUT FAT FROM YOUR DIET

Most of the people think that fats are bad for the health. This isn’t true as there is two type of fats good fat and bad fat. We should be removing bad fat from our diet and adding healthy fat to it.

5. FAST FOOD IS BAD

Not all fast food are bad. There is some fast food that you can eat. It depends on the calories they add to your diet.

6. EATING CLOSE TO BEDTIME

Consuming a meal at a particular time has nothing to do with your metabolism. It is the number of calories you take. It can be that you ate more calories in your entire day than what you ate during bedtime. Or you ate nothing in the whole day but ate more at bedtime.

7. MORE WORK OUT IS EQUAL TO MORE WEIGHT LOSS

Workout alone cannot help you lose pounds of weight. It is the balance between what you take and what you give.  If you ate 200 calories and you burn 300 calories while you worked out. Then obviously you are going to lose weight. It means you need to cut the calories in your diet as well.

8. EAT 3 TIMES IN A DAY

Most people believe that eating more than three times a day can increase your weight. As stated previously it is not how many times you eat it; it is the number of calories you are taking in.
